A lovely bright, sunny morning up Frankley Beeches this morning so I popped up to take some photos.

Frankley Beeches is a beech tree wood, managed by the National Trust, which stands at the top of Egghill Lane, Frankley, Birmingham. Planted on top of the hill, it’s a prominent local landmark, visible for miles around. Donated by philanthropist George Cadbury, the wood and the land on which it stands is part of the legacy the Cadbury family left to the people of Birmingham.

Among other local sites given to the city for the benefit of its residents are Lickey Hills Country Park, Birmingham Orthopaedic Hospital at Northfield and Northfield Manor House.

So, when I got up there, I realised my camera was not, in fact, in my bag, but at home on the dining table! *sigh* So I grabbed these on the iPhone anyway… [Click for full image]
